The Foreign Ministry's consular portal lists exactly these classes: tourism; Objeto Determinado (for work, temporary work, volunteering, academic exchange, religious activity, health or family reasons, with validity varying by motive); student (initially up to 60 days, extendable to temporary residence of up to a year); multiple (investment and business, valid a year, stays not exceeding 90 consecutive days); humanitarian (up to 30 days); courtesy; and transit (up to 15 days). None is a remote-work category. The closest route is an Objeto Determinado visa obtained at a consulate abroad, then temporary residency with the migration directorate after entry. Fees, durations, the post-entry filing deadline and any income threshold are NOT verified — the migration directorate's per-procedure pages are JavaScript-gated and could not be read, and the commonly cited "about USD 700 in the bank" figure comes from secondary blogs.
