**How we know**

We could not reach an official government page for this one when we checked. What follows is the best published source we could read — treat it as a lead, not as the rule, and confirm with the consulate.

Sources are listed further down the page.

## What to know before you apply

The Global Citizen Concierge Programme (GCCP) is no longer offered. It is not listed anywhere on the Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC) site, which now lists only Work Permits, Temporary Work Permits and Permanent Residency, and a search of gov.ky returns no GCCP programme page. Secondary sources report the programme was available until 30 November 2023 and discontinued in 2024. Historically the GCCP allowed remote workers employed outside the Cayman Islands to relocate for up to 24 months, with minimum annual income of USD $100,000 for a single applicant, USD $150,000 with a spouse or civil partner and USD $180,000 with additional dependants; those figures are historical. Closest current long-stay routes on the official site are the standard Work Permit and Permanent Residency categories, plus the separate Residency Certificate categories for persons of independent means (not verified here). Status is recorded as 'none' because no official page presents a current remote-work programme; no official closure notice was located, so the exact end date is not officially confirmed.

## What it means for your tax days

A visa is permission to stay; tax residency follows the days you actually spend. Check Cayman Islands's tax authority for the day test that applies to you — and count the days either way.

**How does Stretch help with the Cayman Islands stay?**

Log the day you land and Stretch counts the days against the permission you are on, shows the date you must be out, and reminds you at 14, 7, 3 and 1 days. It also tallies the days that count towards tax residency, so the 183-day question answers itself. The counting and the alerts are free, forever.
