**How we know**

Every figure here is as gov.pl publishes it, checked 18 August 2026. Where a number is our own arithmetic rather than a printed figure, the row says so.

## What to know before you apply

Poland has NO digital nomad visa. IMPORTANT CORRECTION to widely circulated guidance: POLAND BUSINESS HARBOUR IS SUSPENDED. The official programme site carries the banner 'Program Poland Business Harbour został wstrzymany' (the Poland Business Harbour programme has been suspended). No reopening date or detailed closure notice is given on that page. Several 2026 secondary guides still describe PBH as active and accepting partner-company recommendations via gov.pl/pbh — the official page contradicts them and is preferred here. The genuine routes for a non-EU remote worker are therefore: (a) a national long-stay type D visa, and (b) the temporary residence permit for conducting business activity, which requires you to actually run a business or hold a management/proxy role in Poland, not to work remotely for a foreign employer. The income test (12x average monthly remuneration in the preceding tax year) is a formula and no absolute PLN figure could be verified: gov.pl subpages render as a JavaScript single-page app and every specific gov.pl/web/udsc and voivodeship-office URL attempted returned the portal homepage rather than the permit content, so the condition is cited from migrant.info.pl (secondary). Permit duration and fee for that permit could not be verified from any reachable page and are omitted.

## What it means for your tax days

A visa is permission to stay; tax residency follows the days you actually spend. Check Poland's tax authority for the day test that applies to you — and count the days either way.

**Does a digital nomad visa in Poland make you tax resident?**

A visa and tax residency are different things: the visa lets you stay, the tax rules follow the days you actually spend. Check Poland's tax authority for the day test that applies to you.

**How does Stretch help with the Poland stay?**

Log the day you land and Stretch counts the days against the permission you are on, shows the date you must be out, and reminds you at 14, 7, 3 and 1 days. It also tallies the days that count towards tax residency, so the 183-day question answers itself. The counting and the alerts are free, forever.
