## How the counting works

Bahrain has no personal income tax, so taxYear is null and worldwideIncome is false. IMPORTANT SOURCING CAVEAT: no NBR page (nor the bahrain.bh national portal) contains an explicit sentence denying a personal income tax. The conclusion rests on the NBR's own enumerated remit — "The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) is responsible for the registration of entities and individuals subject to VAT, Excise, and DMTT... Collecting the VAT, Excise and DMTT dues" — and on the complete absence of any income-tax section in the NBR navigation tree. Treat that as a well-evidenced inference rather than a quoted official denial. The Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax applies to MULTINATIONAL GROUPS, not individuals: it was "introduced in the Kingdom of Bahrain on MNEs with annual revenues equal to or exceeding EUR 750 million globally, in accordance with the Decree Law (11) for the year (2024)" and took effect from 1 January 2025. Certificates of Residence are issued by the Foreign Tax Relations Directorate. The COR page was last updated 17 August 2026.

## Why the day count is the part you can control

Ties, homes and intentions are argued after the fact; days are a record. That is why the first thing an adviser asks for is a list of the days you were in the country — and why reconstructing it from boarding passes and photos a year later is a bad afternoon. Log each stay as it happens and the tally is simply there, with the dates that produced it.
