90 Days Schengen at a glance

What it is. An Android calculator of your permitted length of stay in Schengen, by elgatovital (a German indie developer, per our market review), on Google Play since 13 March 2019, version 2.7.3.7. Enter your past trips and you get a dial of permitted days, a Forecast tab for when you regain days, and the date you may re-enter after an overstay. Profiles, no ads, and an "automatic entry/exit fill-in upon crossing the border" that reads the phone's roaming state.

Price. The look-back counter is free. Future trips, a future control date and Google Drive backup need a subscription: $4.49 on the US Play store, £4.39 in the UK, €4.99 in Germany (checked 17 August 2026), after a 30-day trial that asks for card details: "this is Google's model, not our invention".

Platforms. Android only. There is no elgatovital app on the App Store.

What gets counted, and the number on the dial

The arithmetic is the standard rolling 180-day window, and reviewers who check it against the EU calculator say it agrees: "I've never found a difference in the results" (March 2025). The trouble is what it headlines. The dial shows permitted length of stay — days left plus the days you regain while using them — which the listing admits "is not always the same as the number of remaining days". A two-star from March 2025: "I put 10 days spain ×4 =40 Remaining 50 Its showing me 70 days?" A one-star from July 2022: "Forecast gave erroneous days and I ended up overstaying." Stretch headlines the days you have now and the date you must be out, and counts every other rule shape from the same log: limits that reset when you leave, visa-on-arrival days, annual caps.

Reminders and the date you must be out

90 Days Schengen sends one notification, at three days, and only for an ongoing trip whose exit date you left blank. Stretch sets the must-leave date when you log an entry, then reminds you at 14, 7, 3 and 1 days out and on the day, in every country. Fourteen days is time to book a flight; three days is time to panic.

Forward planning

Here 90 Days Schengen earns credit: for about $4.49 a year you can add future trips and move the control date, and the free Forecast tab shows when days come back. But planning is the paid part, and the top-voted review, with 39 helpful votes, is a one-star about that. A three-star from June 2023: it "was great until they started requiring a paid subscription for future trips (the main use of this app)". Losing your trips: backups and auto-logging

Both run without an account and keep your trips on the phone; the difference is what happens next. Automatic backup to Google Drive is a paid feature, and the reviews carry the consequence: "when I changed phones, the days didn't follow" (October 2024). The auto-fill reads your roaming state, which the developer said in November 2021 has "an issue with this function in latest Android versions". Stretch has no account, no server and no analytics; backups go where you send them; GPS logging in Stretch+ stays on the device, every border confirmed by you.

Documents, and where the rules come from

90 Days Schengen holds no documents, and honestly tells you to check its results against the European Commission's calculator. Stretch keeps e-visas and travel authorisations on the stay they cover, and links the arrival cards you must complete before you fly. Every rule shows its source, its checked date and a trust label, and says when it is not verified yet.

On the shared job, a Schengen look-back count, both are free. Beyond it, 90 Days Schengen sells planning and backup for about $4.49 a year, which is cheap.
