A solid single-zone calculator, with a useful family angle and a developer who replies to almost everyone. But free here means ads, ad-free means a ladder topping out at $22.99–24.99, and the June 2026 redesign moved the number that matters — when must I go — behind a calendar tap. Schengen 90/180 Calculator at a glance

What it is. A Schengen calculator from qrallapps (Qrall Apps, UK), on Google Play and the App Store — where it is simply "Schengen Calculator" — since January 2023. Add past and planned trips and you get a day-by-day allowance in a calendar, a forward planner, a "180-day report, ready for passport control", profiles, and an include-or-exclude switch for non-Schengen stays. Version 2.0.8, June 2026, was a full redesign: tap-any-day allowance, a Reports tab, trip sharing, iPad support.

Price. Free with ads. Schengen Pro removes them and adds cloud sync: $1.99 a month, $7.99 a year or $22.99 for life on the US App Store; £1.99, £7.99 or £21.99 in the UK; Google Play lists items at $1.99–24.99 (checked 17 August 2026).

What gets counted

Schengen 90/180 Calculator counts the rolling 180-day window and, since 2.0.8, folds future trips in. The arithmetic is right: a reviewer checked it "against the Official European Commission website calculator — I've never found a difference in the results" (March 2025). Anywhere else is a manual log: you file the trip under a Schengen country and flip the include-or-exclude switch, as one reviewer did for a Montenegro visa; it does not know Montenegro's number, or anyone else's. Stretch counts Schengen the same way, and every other rule shape from the same log — limits that reset when you leave, visa-on-arrival days, annual caps.

The exit date, and the June 2026 redesign

This is the crux. Before 2.0.8 the calendar showed a running countdown; the redesign replaced it with an allowance per day. Some love it; others don't: "loved it but recent changes mean it will no longer tell you the end date of the 90 day in 180 period to book again" (2★, 4 August 2026), to which the developer replies that "for Schengen there isn't really a concept of an end date for the 90 days, the calculation is based on a rolling window".

He is right about the maths and wrong about the traveller. The window has no fixed reset, but a person standing in Spain has one question — if I stay, what is the last day I am legal? — and that has an answer. Stretch gives it the moment you log the entry. No tap, no hunting.

Planning, profiles and the report

Credit here, twice over. The day-by-day allowance for any future date is good, and folding future trips in helps anyone booking ahead. And profiles carry no Pro tag, so a couple with a Spanish flat keep a set of days each and share the passport-control report. Documents, and where the rules come from

The rival holds no documents, and its one rule is tested against the EU calculator, the right benchmark for a stable rule. Stretch keeps e-visas and travel authorisations on the stay they cover, and links the arrival cards you must complete before you fly. Every rule shows its source, checked date and trust label, and says when it is unverified.

Ads, consent screens and privacy

The free version carries ads, and reviewers mostly shrug. The consent flow is its own thread: a three-star describes "the relentless unticking of 'legitimate interest' in the partner preferences every time you open the app" (January 2025), and a paying user found his privacy choices reverted to default (June 2024). Play's data-safety card says the app may share location and app activity with third parties. Stretch has nothing to opt out of: no account, no server, no ads.

The ladder is short, but it is a ladder: $1.99 a month, $7.99 a year, $22.99 on the US App Store to $24.99 on Google Play. A five-star reviewer in July 2026 was "put off by what I think are too high prices" and stayed with the adverts. Stretch's counter, alerts and documents are free with no ads, and its paid plan ($49.99 a year) buys things the rival does not sell.

The qrallapps developer answers nearly every Google Play review, and has shipped what people asked for: overlapping trips, tablet support, cross-device sync. Rare on this shelf. Stretch is one nomad running his own stays on it.
