Verified figures: the official fee calculator returns a total of "US$ 50.00" per applicant; "The Stay Permit of eVisa is 30 days"; "An eVisa is valid for a maximum of 60 days after receiving the Approval Letter"; and "The processing time of the eVisa is usually 03 working days after submitting the application and pay the visa fee, provided that all information supplied by applicants meets the criteria and accepted by the Lao Government Authorities, otherwise the processing time could be longer." All applicants including children and infants need a visa. Entry is only via nine designated eVisa ports: Wattay International Airport, Friendship Bridges I, II and IV, Luang Prabang, Pakse, the Boten checkpoint, Boten Railway Station and Khamsavath Railway Station. EXTENSION IS DELIBERATELY NOT STATED: neither the official FAQ nor the Information page addresses extending beyond 30 days, so the commonly cited "30-day extension at the Immigration Department" has not been recorded.
